Ryan Nugent-Hopkins recorded a goal and an assist, leading the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night, eliminating the Canucks from the playoffs and sending the Oilers to the Western Conference Finals.
The Oilers scored three times in the second period to take a 3-0 lead. Nugent-Hopkins opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 4:52, and Connor McDavid doubled the lead with a goal at 8:09. Evan Bouchard added to the lead with a goal at 16:25.
