Tottenham throw away lead in Wolves comeback
Hojbjerg foul gifts Wolves penalty
Gomes double sees Spurs slip out of top four
Tottenham Hotspur squandered a lead and a chance to move into the top four of the Premier League as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Spurs took the lead in the first half through a Dele Alli penalty, but Wolves fought back to earn a third successive league win for the first time.
Joao Gomes leveled from the penalty spot after Hojbjerg fouled Ait-Nouri, and the Brazilian midfielder struck the winner late on to lift Wolves up to 10th in the table.
The result means Tottenham drop down to fifth, two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
